Founded in 2011 in Umeå, we have our roots in Sweden and an established customer base with Fiber network operators on several continents. Our largest market today is North America, but our expansion is global.
About the role
Sweden is one of the most mature fiber broadband markets in the world, especially when it comes to municipal networks and Open Access. With the experience from our home market, we have developed unique and market leading products, but we could do a better job of informing our industry about all the benefits we provide. This is where you come in.
You will play a key role in our growth strategy winning new fiber network operator customers. You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that will feed our seasoned sales teams with leads. We are looking for a multi-talented B2B marketing expert with the ability to both keep the 10,000 foot view, while also being hands-on in creating content, posting on our website, setting up LinkedIn campaigns, working with email marketing campaigns and much more. We have fantastic industry expertise within the company, already a strong brand and customer base, and external marketing firms we have established relationships with. What we need now is the coordinating force who can drive our marketing efforts in a creative, but still organized way. Today we mainly work with Hubspot, LinkedIn (including Sales Navigator) and twitter, google ads and analytics. All our presentation material is in Google slides and our website is built in Wordpress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-creating and implementing a digital marketing strategy
- Market analysis and insights to manage focused marketing activities for lead generation.
- Creating content in text for our website, social media and scripts for video
- Writing and distributing press releases
- Building and running email and LinkedIn marketing campaigns
- Planning and preparing presentation material for webinars
- Coordinating marketing events
- Optimizing SEO
- Expanding industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading professional publications.
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in successful B2B digital marketing
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional copywriting and copy editing skills.
- A good eye for graphical design and attention to detail
- Skilled in updating websites
- Experience from scale-up’s and fast growing organizations
- Degree in marketing, communications, or similar, or proven relevant experience.
- Previous experience of working with mentioned platforms is not required, but strongly preferred
- Experience from the fiber network operator industry and preferably software is a plus
- Native English speaker or skill level. If you also know German that would be amazing.

About COS Systems
Everything begins somewhere, and our beginning was in the north of Sweden. COS Business engine was founded in 2008, which is not that long ago but in the infancy of fiber infrastructure technology. In 2009 the Swedish parliament ratified a government order that in 2020, 90 % of all households should have access to high speed internet, symmetrical 100 Mbit/s. Due to a very successful development the goal was raised in 2016, so that 95% should have 100 Mbit/s in 2020 and in 2025 98% of the Swedish households should have access to 1Gbit/s (1,9% should have 100Mbit/s and 0,1% at least 30Mbit/s).
This digital evolution in Sweden has only been possible due to the very high grade of automation of the fiber business and with an Open Access approach where take rates often exceed 80% and customers have a variety of providers to choose from, or being able to keep their existing provider independently of who builds the fiber network.
Swedish society has also become more digital native and being able to work from home was not a problem when Covid came. Sweden is also very high ranked in the tech industry with famous companies like Spotify, Klarna, Mojang, King, Skype, IZettle, Truecaller etc etc
It is in this context COS was built up and has been focusing in developing a software to support this nationwide rollout of a new high speed and robust digital infrastructure in Sweden. With the same focus and vision from day one COS now supports other countries all around the globe with similar challenges.
